Hattie Bobo

Hattie Florence Bobo of 307 South Center Street, Bonham, Texas, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 1987, at Fannin County Hospital in Bonham. She had been in failing health for about a year.

Mrs. Bobo was born in Lee County in Virginia April 12, 1906, the daughter of John Clark and Beckie Clark. She was married December 11, 1926, in Fannin County to Perry Latham Clark who died May 4, 1958. She later married Ralph C. Bobo February 3, 1962 in Hugo, Oklahoma and he died February 13, 1981.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Assembly of God Church at Honey Grove.

Funeral services were held at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel, Honey Grove, at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 1987, with the Rev. Elmo Strickland officiating.

Burial was at Allens Point Cemetery in the Allens Point Community. Active pallbearers were Jay Lawhon, Frankie Lawhon, Dusty Lawhon, Wesley Caskey, Wayne Bates, Danny King. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Jimmy Clark, Danny Clark, Terry Lynn Clark, Jackie Clark, Jerry Glenn Clark, James D. (Jr) Clark, Ronald Clark, Joe Clark, Jess Don Clark, Dale Bates, Lee Riecu, Kelly Parrsons, Billy Parrsons, Larry Jr. Parrsons, J. W. Parrsons and Jess Mike Parrsons.

She is survived by six sons, Willard Parrsons of Locksburg, Ark., Jack Parrsons of Jewel, Kansas, Terry L. Clark, of Bonham, J. R. (Dopie) Clark of Paris, Donald Clark of Bonham, Jess Harold Clark of McKinney, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Edna King of Bonham, Mrs. Mary Cockrill, of Ravenna, Mrs. Helen Caskey of Bonham, Mrs. Linda Bates of Snyder, Oklahoma and Ms. Pat Lawhon of Bonham; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Tankerley, of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Mrs. Ella Clark of Honey Grove, Mrs. Hazel Smith of Windom, Mrs. Marie Carson of Bonham; two brothers, Willie G. Clark of Westminster and Doc Clark of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; 37 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
