She is preceded in death by her parents, David E. and Sarah Scott Vaughn; husbands, Grady Carter in 2001 and Roy T. May Sr. in 1976; and a stepson.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Hitt and LaDonnia Burnett; sons, Roy T. May Jr. and Larry May.; and stepsons, Alton Carter, Steve Carter and Stanley Carter.
Arrangments were by: Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola. Services were at Etowah Pentecostal Church of God in Etowah with burial in Manila Cemetery.
