Funeral services were held for Mary Eugenia Bang, 92, of Lucedale on Friday, August 10, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Crossroads Free Pentecostal Church.

Interment followed in Crossroads United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. William Mills, Rev. Harry Cochran and Rev. R. D. Byrd officiating the services.

A nurse at Mobile Infirmary for 21 years and a member of Crossroads Free Pentecostal Church, she died August 8.

She is survived by her daughters Edna (Earl) Dixon of Semmes, Ala., JoAnn (Tommy) Tipton and Annette (R.D.) Byrd, both of Lucedale; son John Darrell (Linda) Bang of Vancleave; daughter-in-law Patricia Pope Bang of Lucedale; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and sister Evelyn Prescott.

She was preceded in death by her husband John B Bang, son Alton Bang and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Larry King, Butch Rouse, Joey Tipton, Derek Bang, Kenley Byrd, Van Easterling, Johnny Dyess and Lonnie Ray Howell. Honorary pallbearers were Alton Bang's Sunday School Class at Crossroads Free Pentecostal Church.
