Born 26 Mar 1843, Drimavou, Killean, Argyll, Scotland to John McPherson and Flora McGill. She immigrated to Canada about 1859 after the death of her father. Her mother Flora and all the children immigrated together. Barbara was married to Christopher Ableson on 18 Apr 1865 in Wellington Center, Ontario. Barbara and Christopher migrated to the Alberta Territory between 1891-1901. Barbara and Christopher had 7 children that I know of.
