Grover Anderson Bryant, 84, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2004, in a Roanoke hospital.

He was born on October 2, 1920, to the late Will and Myrtle Wright Bryant.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the V.A. Hospital, Salem, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

Grover was predeceased by two sisters, Edna B. Hall and Elizabeth B. Gibson;

and four brothers, Luther L. Bryant, Robert Bryant, Howard Bryant and Herman Bryant.

Surviving are his devoted and loving wife, Shirley S. Bryant of Roanoke;

special niece, Phyllis B. Pratt of Christiansburg;

his three children, Andy, LeeAnn and Kay and their spouses and children;

step-children, Christy Pennington and husband, Earl and James Phillip Allen and wife, Stephanie;

four step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Tom McCracken will officiate.

Entombment will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum.
