Kevin S. Roberts
MCGILL-Kevin Scott Roberts, 13, died Thursday at an East Ely hospital as the result of a bicycle-truck accident on June 8, 1974.
He was born July 13, 1961, in Ely to Robert and Evaleen Roberts. At the time of the accident, he had just finished the seventh grade at McGill Elementary School.
Roberts was a member of Troop 63, Boy Scouts of America, and a deacon in the McGill First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.
Besides his parents, survivors include a sister, Mrs. Carolyn Costello, brothers, Craig and Kerry, his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Owen K. Barton, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marell Roberts, all of McGill.
A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the Ely, LDS Stake Center in East Ely. Burial will follow in the Ely City Cemetery.
