Benn A. Bartlett December 17, 1921 -- August 11, 2012 Salesman for Lima Estates Senior Community Benn A. Bartlett, passed away on August 11, 2012, age 90, of Lima Estates, formerly of Havertown. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Felton). Mr. Bartlett graduated from high school in Bradford, PA and attended Rochester Business Institute in Rochester, NY. He went on to be a salesman for Rochester Germicide Co. in Rochester, NY for 20 years selling Janitorial and Custodial Supplies to companies. He retired in 1979 and started selling the apartments at Lima Estates an ACTS Community, where he has resided since. During the Second World War he attained the rank of Master Sargent, with the Quarter Master Corp in the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theatre of Operations. He attended Christ Community Church, but has most recently been attending services at Lima Estates. Family: His wife Grace (nee Felton), whom he married on December 4, 1999. His first wife Lola Ann (nee Burns) passed away in October of 1998 after 55 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children Timothy (Linda) of Steilacoom, WA, Thomas (Jeanne) of Lancaster, PA and Julie (Robert) Henn of Raleigh, NC; also 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister Anne Bates. Thank You: Mr. Bartlett was immensely grateful for the wonderful loving care he received from all the staff of Lima Estates during the varying stages of his life there. Service/Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Services on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10 AM in the Auditorium of the Lima Estates, 411 N. Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063. The family will greet following the service. Memorials may be sent in his name to the Lima Estates Residents Fund, c/o the above address. Interment is private for the family at Cumberland, Cemetery.
