Samuel Leslie McAninch is the son of George R. McAninch and Isabella McAninch (nee Leslie).
He married Linda Francis Amlaw (1885-1973).
They had a son, Arthur Milton McAninch (1906-1980).

S. L. McAninch Dies After Short Illness
S. L. McAninch, 73, longtime resident of South Bend, passed away Saturday afternoon at a local hospital, following a short illness.
McAninch, born in Brookville, Pa., has been in South Bend for 41 years and was employed at the Raymond Lumber Company prior to his retirement a few years ago. He was for many years active as a member of the Pacific Republican party.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock from the Family Funeral Chapel with Rev.Paul Perkins officiating. Intermentwill follow at Fern Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, South Bend, a son, Arthur, Montesano, who was here at the time of his death, and two grandchildren.
