Suttons Bay - Mrs. Helen K. Wransky, 79, of Suttons Bay died Tuesday at Grand Traverse Medical Care Facility in Traverse City after a lingering ilness.
Mrs. Wransky was born August 8, 1888 in Traverse City, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sivek, was a lifelong resident of the area, and was a life member of Traverse City Immaculate Conception Church.
On June 5, 1918 she was married to Frank Wransky, who died November 24, 1942. A daughter, Barbara, and two brothers, Thomas and Norbert Sivek, also preceded Mrs. Wrasky in death.
Surviving are a son, Robert of Suttons Bay; a granddaughter, Barbara Wrasky of Suttons Bay, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Moore of Grand Rapids.
A requiem high mass will be sung at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Msgr. R. W. Passeno celebrant, with burial in the family lot in Oakwood cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Martinson funeral home in Traverse City.
