BLUE MOUNDS - Alice Agnes Dickinson, age 85, of Blue Mounds, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at Rest Haven Health Care Center, The former Alice Agnes Rakow was born on September 8, 1915, to Adolph and Dora (Lempke) Rakow. On May 26, 1936, she married Gaige Dickinson and they settled in Spring Green. During World War II she worked at Badger Ordinance and later at Games Corporation for 25 years. Alice loved to bike, dance, play cards and enjoyed the outdoors. Alice is survived by two daughters, Carol (Reginald) Sawle of Ridgeway, and Donna (Alfred) Mueller of Belleville; four sons, Gaige Junior of Lone Rock, Dennis (Mary) of Ridgeway, Roger (fiancé Susan Lynch) of Ridgeway, and Darrell (Babe) of Ridgeway; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Adams of Avoca; four brothers, Delbert (Bobbie) Rakow of Spokane, Washington, Dick (Shirley) Rakow of Avoca, Clifford Rakow of Muscoda, and Harold Rakow of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gaige; two children, Larry and Betty Jean Dickinson; a grandson, Chet Dickinson; a sister and seven brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2001, at BARNEVELD LUTHERAN CHURCH. Pastor Dennis O'Brien will officiate, with burial in East Side Cemetery, Dodgeville. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2001, at LULLOFF-PETERSON-HOUCK FUNERAL HOME, Dodgeville, and at the church on Friday after 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Rest Haven Health Care Center activity department.
