My Daddy *~*

Kind Thanks to Mr. Hans Jende of Berlin. Sir, your Birthday Greeting Picture for my Dad was surprise - I am moved beyond words at your kindness. Thank you.

Darlene, God Bless You for including my Dear Ole' Dad in your Special to You List.

A farmer, then mechanic most of his life, he and Mom Alma Ruth LIVELY Dodd lived in Ben Arnold, Texas when his Daddy James Ashley Dodd was injured in a farming accident from which he died of his injuries a couple of days later. The hay wagon was loaded high, Daddy Dodd was atop the bales holding the reigns of the mules. as he was approaching a stream headed downhill, the wagon speed overtook the mules, they bolted - Grandpa Dodd dropped the reigns when he was thron upward and fell between the mules and wagon - he was ran over by the wagn wheels. The immense load weight crushed him internally.

Later the family lived in Dallas, TX. My Dad ran Dodd's Garage in Downtown Dallas. He was a master mechaninc. I have many fond memories of being at the garage with Dad. The garage sat where preent day Central Expressway runs through Downtown Dallas. He and Ruth were parents of
Opal Christene Dodd-Welch, Mary Montez Dodd-Vasek and James Alton. The family was Church of Christ.

He was also preceded in death not only by his parents, but by A Tiny Angel Grandson in 1955.

Holy week has brought sponsorship to my Dear Ole'Dad - and I would like to extend gratitude and Easter Blesings to Our Friend RUTH for her kindness to my Dad's memory.

Please visit Ruth's Page and flower her Memorials when you have a moment - I thank you kindly. (My Mother's name is Ruth - I am not surprised at the grace shown by a sweet lady named Ruth - must be in the name - thank you Lord for this extra blessing!)
