Elaine Mae Abel, age 57 of Paxton Illinois died Friday May 15, 1998 at Gibson Community Hospital as a result of a car wreck. Funeral services will be at 1 O'clock PM at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove, Rantoul. The Rev. Richard Swain will officiate. Burial will be in Kopmann Cemetery, St. Joseph. Elaine was born November 23, 1940 in Champaign County Illinois a daughter of William and Anna Huis Wilken. Survivors include two sons, Bill Abel of Paxton and Gary Abel of Hendersonville Tennessee. Two daughters, Cindy Fox of Mahomet Illinois and Sande Abel of Paxton. five grandchildren. a brother Wayne Wilken of Defiance Ohio and a sister Charlene Ackerman of St. Joseph. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Julie Abel, who also was killed as a result of a car wreck.
