Colin Sparks was born on 19 October, 1916 in Horse Lick,Jackson County, Kentucky as a twin to the late George and Ella/Ellen (Martin) Sparks who were married on November 25, 1910 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. his twin brother was Hughes Sparks, what exactly happened to his twin is little known because there is no mention of him again in the family records after 1919. he is neither mentioned in the 1920 nor 1930 Jackson County, Kentucky Census. Colin passed away on Tuesday August 21, 2012 at the age of 95 at his home in Horse Lick,Jackson County, Kentucky, he was proceeded in Death by his late wife Lucille (Neeley) Sparks whom he married on 2 October, 1940. Colin was an Army Verteran of WW II and went into the Army in Louisville, Kentucky when he was 28 on 10 June,1945. He was a retired Math Teacher with the Madison County School System.
