Margaret Ann Kirkland married James R. Rennie on October 31, 1895 in Allegheny County, Pa. She gave birth to William in 1896, and Hilda in 1900. She passed away at only 32 to years old, after a week's illness of pneumonia. The Rev. J. H. Lancaster, with the Beulah Park M. E. Church officiated her funeral. Although her obituary states she was survived only by her husband, she was in fact survived also by her mother, a son, a daughter, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret's mother, Lucretia Keyser-Kirkland came from a long line of Mennonites, who were deeded a parcel of land by William Penn, 6 miles from Philadelphia, Pa. This area is known as Germantown.
