Molalla Man Killed by Tree
MOLALLA
Robert Larrett, age unknown, died in the University Hospital in Portland Friday night after he was apparently hit by a tree in the woods behind his home.
Larrett, a Portland Fireman, died of a skull fracture, according to hospital officials. He initially was treated at Willamette Falls Community Hospital, then transferred to University Hospital, according to the State Medical Examiner's office.
A Medical Examiner's spokesman said the office had no details of the accident. Police did not investigate.

Molalla Man Dies of Tree Fall Injury
A 40-year-old Molalla man died Friday night in the University of Oregon Hospital in Portland after he was struck in back of the head by a tree. A spokesman for the Medical Examiner's office said Robert Larrett was cutting firewood in the woods behind his Molalla home when a tree fell in the wrong direction. He died of a skull fracture.
