SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield for Dorothy Theola Parazoo of Springfield, who died May 7 of age-related causes at age 90. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Fairoaks Cemetery in Sutherlin. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today, May 10, at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1917, in Smith Center, Kan., to George and Minnie Farrier [sic] Beller. She married Walter Parazoo on June 1, 1935, in Sutherlin.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Monty of Eugene; four daughters, Betty Bly of Grand Ronde, Marta Clifford of Springfield, Dell Dickison of Harrisburg and Dee Edwards of Eugene; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband died March 22, 1960.
Four children also died previously, including two daughters, Wanda Parazoo on May 5, 2006, and Joyce Wilson on March 8, 2007; and two sons, Rodney Parazoo on Aug. 11, 1961, and Michael Parazoo on Jan. 1, 1985.
