After a lingering illness of more than a year Noah D. Saylor died last Saturday at his home on Sinking Creek in his 78th year. "Uncle" Noah was a familiar figure in this city a few years ago, before he grew too feeble to come to town, and had many friends who will regret to hear of his dead [sic]. Rev. L. W. Pierce conducted the funeral services at the late residence Sunday and the remains of the physically bent, but morally straight, and kind-hearted old man was laid to rest in the old family burying ground.
