Sister of Margaret "Maggie" Glass (Mrs. Funston Lucado); Erskine Douglas Glass (Wife, Jennie Darby Glass); John Sandford Glass (Wife, Elizabeth Pollard Glass); Marion Langhorne Glass (Mrs. Blair Bannister); Louise Augusta Glass (Mrs. Foutien D. Johnston) and Cara Fontaine Glass (who did not marry...died at the age of 28);

Dr. Meta Glass received a PhD. from Columbia University, held eight honorary doctorates, and served as President of Sweet Briar College from 1925-1946. She also served as President of the American Association of University Women and the American Association of Colleges.
