Book, Gwendolyn E. (nee Gammie) Age 78, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at Salem Village. Survived by her daughters, Candy Book, Sandy (Rex) King; grandson, Jason King; great-grandson, Sean King; sister, Delores Zurski; Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Book Sr.; son, Raymond L. Book Jr.; grandson, Adam King; parents, Paul and Helen Gammie; sister, Velma Brown. Born in Terre Haute, IN, living in Joliet most of her life. Retired from Tri County Periodical. Gwen was an avid reader, reading 2-3 books a week. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandson and great-grandson. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Hills of Rest Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Memorials to the Passage Hospice would be appreciated.
