Sister Mary Grace Ollinger, CSA (Baptismal name Helen Magdalena Ollinger), died peacefully, at 12:45 p.m. on May 8, 2012 at St. Francis Nursing Home.
She was born October 21, 1917 in Cincinnati, OH to John Ollinger and Elizabeth (Mueller) Ollinger and was one of six children.
Sister Mary Grace was professed August 15, 1948. She became an elementary and high School teacher after graduating from Marian University and St. Rose College in Albany. She taught in Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois, and Kansas. She also ministered as the Motherhouse Librarian, and did office work at Marian University.
She was preceded in death by: her parents John and Elizabeth Ollinger, one sister, Catherine Knapp and one brother, Nicholas Ollinger.
She is survived by: two sisters Mary Vollmere and Betty Pomerante and one brother John Ollinger, and the Sisters of St. Agnes, with whom she lived, prayed and ministered.
Visitation for S. Mary Grace will be from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday May 10th, 2012, located at Nazareth Court & Center, 375 Gillett St., Fond du Lac, WI. The prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 10th.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday May 10th at 2:00 p.m. The Mass presider will be Fr. Ken Smits. The burial will take place at St. Joseph Springs Cemetery.
