Janice Hagler Ritchie "Jan" CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Janice (Jan) Hagler Ritchie, age 63, of Charlotte, North Carolina, went home to meet her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on Saturday (August 4, 2012) Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Mrs. Ritchie will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday (August 6, 2012) at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church,Mrs. Ritchie was born on October 26, 1948, in Mecklenburg County, a daughter of the late W.C. (Bill) Hagler and Rachel Elizabeth (Lib) Griffin Hagler.Survivors include her loving husband of 27 years, Gary Ritchie of Charlotte; two daughters, a brother, a sister. There are two grandsons and a host of family members including many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Jan was a recipient of a pancreas and kidney transplant in 1996. Jan was a fighter and battled health issues for many years. She kept a positive attitude through it all and continually gave all of the praise to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The family would like to thank a niece, for excellent care, Life Share of the Carolinas, Carolina Institute of Rehabilitation, the Staff of Asbury Care Center and all the many Doctors that gave their expert care during her illness. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the funeral ceremony at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, 2817 Mt.
