Don Miguel was a quiet, orderly and respected citizen and had the good will of everyone.
Don Emidio was born in Santa Barbara county in 1813, being 81 years of age at the time of his death. He moved to Ventura county at an early age with his parents. He enjoyed good health and bid fair to live for many years, but met painful injuries on Thursday of last week. Injuries so seriously he gradually succumbed and died Monday afternoon.
He was married for 57 years and leaves a widow. Many of his relatives being present from Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and San Diego.
He leaves a widow, 8 sons and 4 daughters and a large circle of old and intimate friends to mourn his death.
His funeral which occurred Wednesday afternoon was about the largest ever seen in this place.
