Margaret Barron Anderson, 83, of Paducah, formerly of Mayfield, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday at Superior Care Home in Paducah.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of First Christian Church of Mayfield.

She is survived by one son, James "Bud" Anderson II of Columbia, S.C.; five daughters, Sherrill Nance of Lewisport, Marne Elam of Alexandria, Va., Betsy PIckens of Paducah, Grace Duncan of Gainesville, Ga., and Laura Parrish of Lexington; one sister, Patricia Breathitt of Louisville; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sherrill Anderson. Her parents were William Edward and Grace Sullivan Barron.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church of Mayfield with the Rev. Victor Brady officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Lourdes Hospice or First Christian Church of Mayfield.

Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
