Alfred J. Eisenmenger, 71, 816 West Cherry St., Cherokee, died Tuesday, April 20, 1993 at his home following a lengthy illness. Services will be held today (Friday, April 23,1993) at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cherokee. Rev. James Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cherokee. A scripture service was held Thursday by the parish which was followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee. He was born Sept. 18,1921 in Anthon to Paul and Eleanor (Coyne) Eisenmenger. They moved to Cherokee in 1934 and Al graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1940. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, aboard the U.S.S. Seminole. On Nov. 28, 1953, he married Jeanne Meehan in Marcus. Al farmed in Pilot Township for many years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Rural Fire Board, and was a Pilot Township Trustee for many years. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He is survived by three daughters, Joyce Morrison, and her husband, Paul, of Lenexa, Kan.; Coleen Vincent, and her husband, Joe, of Graham, N.C.; Diane Wilmot, and her husband, Rob, of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Michael Eisenmenger, and his wife, Linda, of Windom, Minn.; James Eisenmenger, and his wife, Barb, of Tyler, Texas, and 10 grandchildren.
