OBITUARY :
CHARLES C. BARNES, died at his home in Millpoint, Wednesday morning, following an illness of several months, aged 74.

The son of the late Thornton C. and Mary Catherine (Ripple) Barnes.

He was born in Williamsport.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Benevola E. U. B. Church.

Surviving are his wife, Irene (Lantz) Barnes; daughters, Mrs. Elias Flynn, Brunswick; Mrs. Harry Sowers, Hagerstown; Mrs. Frank Sheffler, Jr., Middletown; Mrs. David Malott, at home; son, Edwin, Boonsboro; sister, Mrs. Emma J. Sword, Hagerstown; brothers, John and William, both of Hagerstown; Azra, Greencastle; Harry, Detroit, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Curvin Thompson, with interment in Boonsboro Cemetery.

The body may be viewed at the residence until noon Saturday, and at the funeral home until time of service.
