Mrs. Rosemary M. Abel

Mrs. Rosemary M. Abel, 87, formerly of 2530 Iowa, died Saturday, Feb. 9, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Abel was a sales clerk at Crosby Brothers Department Store in Topeka when she retired in
1959. She was born Aug. 19, 1897, at Vermillion, S.D., the daughter of Phillip Joseph and
Ellen L. O'Conner Conner. She lived in the Topeka area since 1951.
Mrs. Abel was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary at Topeka.
She was married to Fredrick Loran Abel Aug. 1, 1930, at Elk Point, S.D. He died Aug. 19, 1948.
A son, Loran Conner Abel, died in 1976. Survivors include two sons, Fredrick J. Abel, Topeka,
and Charles Robert Abel, Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Francis Conner, Tucson, Ariz.; and five
grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Prospect Hill Cemetery at
Norfolk, Neb. Parker-Price Mortuary of Topeka is in charge of arrangements.
