Jean was born January 2, 1930 in Baldwinsville, New York, the daughter of Ralph William and Alice Aileen Stubbs Gumaer.
She graduated from Cazenovia High School in New York and married Donald L Russell on October 23, 1948 in Bridgeport New York. He preceded in death on December 17,2009.
She was the secretary of the 7-Up Bottling Company in Denison and later worked for Knight Furniture Company in Sherman from which she retired in 1995.
Surviving are 4 daughters, 5 sons, one sister, Barbara McDermott of Delphi Falls, New York and two brothers, Curtis Gumaer of Mountain Home Arkansas. Bruce Gumaer of San Antonio, Texas. 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, her parents, one sister, Dorothy Arp, two brothers, Gordon Gumaer and Bob Gumaer and her son Donald L Russell, Jr.
Johnson Moore Funeral Home of Denison has charge of all arrangements, including cremation.
