Lester Arthur Perry Sr., 92, passed away October 15, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born April 1, 1912 in Ogden, Utah to Lester Irvin and Rosina Pearl Shaw Perry.

He married Alice Fern Vance March 16, 1931 in Fairview, Utah; she died November 1998. Lester served in the US Army during World War II. He worked for Sam Weller Books and the U of U Bookstore. He loved and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed the mountains and working in his garden, and had a passion for books.

Survived by his son, Lester (Janet) Perry Jr.; grandchildren, Aubrey (Matthew) Broome, Christopher Perry, Amanda (Matthew) Preece, Erin Anne Perry, Robyn Perry, Zachary Perry; brother Roger Bruce Perry; sisters, Lillian Pearl Roundy and Deola Perry; and sister-in-law, Myrtle Perry. Preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Flora June Foy; and brother William Donald Perry. Graveside services held Tuesday, Oct 19, 2004 at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Dr.
