DEATHS TOLL FIVE MINERS WITHIN FOUR DAYS.

At Raven wood on Friday at 12 oclock John Curic and Chris Beljan caught under a falling rock and killed. Curic was 32 years old, and leaves a wife and three children in Italy. Beljan was 22 years of age and a single man.

At the Caddell mine a similar tragedy was enacted, on Monday. Batista Taris, 26 years of age was caught by a fall of rock about 8 oclock Monday morning. Frank Grabosky, his buddy, a man of 40 years of age hearing the cries of his buddy rushed to his rescue and was caught under the still falling roof. Grabosky leaves five children orphans, his wife having died less than two weeks ago.

At the Robinson Mine on Tuesday at 6 oclock while attempting to ride the trip up out of the mine Pete Curnesco, was caught between the car and a low place in the entry and had his life crushed out. Curnusoo was 42 years of age and leaves a wife and family In Italy. The riding of the trips is against the rules of the company. The First Aid Society of Walsen will give a benefit ball on Saturday, October 26th, for the relief of the families of these miners.
