William (Shorty) Metcalf

WALHALLA - Jan. 3 - William Crawford (Shorty) Metcalf, 43, Mountain Rest community, died at Oconee Memorial Hospital Sunday at 4:30 p.m. following an illness of four days.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ether Metcalf, Mountain Rest; three sisters, Mrs. John Kersey, St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Fred Smith, Bladenboro, N.C., Mrs. Walter Cribb, Wagener, N.C.; six brothers, Claude, Westminster; Edward, Seneca; Doc, of the home; James and J.B., both of Westminster; Ray, Walhalla, and his grandmother, Mrs. Savannah McCoy, Clayton, Ga.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ansel Funeral Home.
