Records in the Pennsylvania, Births and Christenings show he was the child of John Henrich Henry Imboden and Rosina Rosanna Black. He most likely traveled with others from his homeland and settled in Wayne County, Indiana in the early 1850s. He is not found until the 1860 census where he was married with two children.
Henry married Sarah Rebecca Laudig September 2, 1856 in Wayne County, Indiana. They were married for eight years when he entered the Civil War in 1864 a private for one year. They had seven known children in 22 years. Henry died on October 15, 1908, in Wabash, Adams County, Indiana, having lived a long life of 78 years.
