Her ashes were spread over Gates Pass at her request.
One of her jobs in the clothing industry was working for Mandell Clo. & D.G. Co. at 107 W. Canyon, Carlsbad New Mexico.
She also managed and operated The Toggery on Fox Street in Carlsbad in the 1950's That was owned by her sister & husband Charlie & Cuca Rule from El Paso. She called it the "rag" business.
She married Ralph Urias while in her twenties, they divorced after about 5 years of marriage. She never married again but had several "suitors" as she called them.

She took care of her parents until they passed away. In the late 1960's she moved from Carlsbad, to Tucson when her sister Clara and husband Bernard Gorey Sr. moved there. In Tucson she worked at a clothing store that exclusively catered to women coming over from Mexico, she spoke Spanish fluently which she learned from her Parents growing up and English too.
She called her 1940's green Plymouth "sweet Pea".
She had a "green thumb", she could grow anything. She had a Bougainvillea in the front window of her home in Carlsbad and in her front and back yard she grew tomatoes and roses. She is truly missed. She was loved by all.
