Walter Scott Jefferson, 69, a veteran employee of The Tribune, died suddenly of heart disease last night in the plant of Chicago Journal of Commerce where he had gone on business. Mr Jefferson was a native of Chicago born on Quincy and Wells St. He became a charter member of Madson Lodge, Knights of Pythias. Before coming to the Tribune, he had been a salesman. He is survived by his sister Mrs D.C. Foute, who lived with him.
