WINN - Harry M. Alexander, 97, died unexpectedly Nov. 26, 1987, in Howland. He was born in Stepheville, Newfoundland, Canada, Aug. 30, 1890, the son of Henry and Margarey (Nouvelle) Alexander. He had lived in Winn for the past 75 years. He was Winn's oldest citizen and holder of the Boston Post Gold Cane Award. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Michaud) Alexander. He is survived by two sons, Wallace Alexander of Winn, Marcelle Alexander of Lincoln; two daughters, Mrs. Roland (Roserma) Wilson and Mrs. Robert (Rachel) Cyr, both of Millinocket; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret White, Mrs. Ethel Hewlen, Mrs. Fred Annie Morrissey, Mrs. Rita Blanchard, Mrs. Matt (Veronica) Gordon; two brothers, Adolph and Sam all of, Newfoundland; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Winn with the Rev. Andre Houle Celebrant. Burial will be in East Winn cemetery. Friends may call at Clary Steven's & Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may donate in his memory to Sacred Heart Catholic church. Donations maybe left at the funeral home.
