Born April 23, 1914, in Lorain, Ohio, Martha MUMPER Michener, 86, of Landisburg, formerly of Camp Hill, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000 at Country Meadows, in Mechanicsburg. She was the daughter of the late James Willis and Helen ADAIR Mumper.
Mrs. Michener attended the former Thompson College, Harrisburg and attended Dickinson College, Carlisle. She was a graduate of George Washington University, Washington, D.C., and was a retired legal secretary.
Mrs. Michener was a founder and first president of the Camp Hill Women's Club, a member of the West Shore Country Club, a former member of the Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Va., the Metropolitan Club of New York and the Everglades Club, Palm Beach, Fla.
Surviving are her husband, Edward Carl Michener, and a son, Randolph Edward Michener, of Washington D.C. and Landisburg.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill. The Rev. Kenneth P. Osborne will officiate. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township.
