Funeral services of Mrs. Dessie Mae Creach, pioneer Hammon resident who died Tuesday, September 5, 1972 at her home were conducted from the First Baptist Church in Hammon Firday Sepbember 8, 1972 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Billy Parvin officiating. Burial was in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Martin Funeral Home of Elk City in charge.
Mrs. Creach was born june 20, 1889 in Indiana, and came to Oklahoma in 1906 where she was later married to Arthur E. Creach. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1966. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hammon.
She is survived by one son Ernest Creach of Yuba City, California, and three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Alta) Curtis, of Hammon, Mrs. Pearl Green of Redwood City, California and Mrs. Mary Bymun of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and one brother, Desco Gass of Tulsa, Oklahoma, also several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hollingsworth and a brother Riley Gass.
