TIPLERSVILLE - Mildred Ayers Hopper, 93, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Tippah County Hospital Nursing Home in Ripley. She was born June 25, 1919, to Alpha and Zeva Tapp Ayers in Tippah County. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Ebernezer Cemetery in Walnut. McBride Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Hopper (Betty) of Tiplersville; one sister, Polly Rowland of Dumas; one granddaughter, Lynn Etheridge of Tiplersville; one grandson-in-law, Dale Goodman of Millington, Tenn.; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley Braswell (Tom) of Atoka, Tenn., Scott Etheridge (Amanda) of Olive Branch, Tracey Goodman (Blair) of Florence, Ala., and Casey Etheridge of Tiplersville; four great-great-grandchildren, Dylon, Lily, Cooper and Bentley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Hopper; her parents; a granddaughter, Sherry Hopper Goodman; a sister, Lucille Hopper; and a brother, Freeman Ayers.
Pallbearers will be Tom Braswell, Scott Etheridge, Mack Ketchum, Bobby Jackson and Billy Hughes.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
