Mrs. Bargo was a former homemaker, a devoted Christian, a member of the Lynn Camp Baptist Church and attended the Everlasting Grace Baptist Church. In earlier years, she enjoyed sewing and politics.
On August 5, 1946, she united in marriage with Vantory Bargo and to this union six children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Norma Faye and Patsy Lynn Bargo; five sisters, Mary Messer, Mayme Mills, Martha Gambrel, Amanda Bargo and Betty Hale; five brothers, General, Obie, Walter, Nasby and Edward Bargo; and a grandson, Clancy James Bargo.
Survivors include her husband, Vantory Bargo of Corbin; a son, Harold Bargo and wife, Nancy, of Lexington; three daughters, Donna Saylor and husband, David, and Beverly Ward and husband, Ron, all of Corbin and Brenda Sears and husband, John, of Gray; ten grandchildren, Jeff Sears and wife, Becky, Jessica Scearse and husband, James, Kimberly Miller and husband, Chris, Daniel Saylor, James Ward, Michael Bargo, Tonya Brown and husband, General, Gretchen Bargo, Gail Bartolo and Nancy Forester; 12 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, September 3 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Jimmy Siler and Rev. Herman Mills officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Lynn Camp Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be grandsons. Honorary bearers will be nieces and nephews.
