"Mabel Katura Charity Heaney, a former resident of El Dorado County, died Oct 19 at a hospital (Mount Grant Hospital)in Hawthorne, NV at the age of 88. Mrs. Heaney came to El Dorado County in 1942. While living in Placerville, she worked for 17 years for the California Pacific Pear Association as a picker. She is survived by 3 sons, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. One grandson, Ned H. Heaney, still lives in Placervolle."
