Gabrielle served the community of Lamont for 65 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Tourist Club, the PTA, and served on the library board for 25 years. Gabrielle loved music and was an accomplished pianist and organist. She started playing the pipe organ when she was seventeen years old. In 1998, she was honored by her church for serving as an organist for seventy years.

In 2001, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to live with her daughter, Nancy and her family. In 2002, she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and in her nineties, served faithfully as a pianist, visiting teacher, and president of the Gospel Doctrine class.
