The News-Chronicle, Shippensburg, PA, 9 Jan 1953:

Charles H. Dotter, Carlisle, superintendent of the Frog and Switch and Manufacturing company, died suddenly Wednesday morning at the Carlisle hospital. He was stricken ill Tuesday evening and admitted to the hospital at 10:45 p.m.

Mr. Dotter was the son of the late William H. and Anna Germyer Dotter. He was a veteran employee of the Frog, Switch and manufacturing company and was made superintendent and elected to the board of directors in 1937.

His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Failor Dotter; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Day, at home, and Mrs. Virginia Cullings, Carlisle R.R.5; a brother, Arthur Dotter, Pittsburgh; five sisters, Mrs. Carrie McGuire, Carlisle; Mrs. Ruth Heilbron, Mt. Holly, N.J.; Mrs. Mildred Shaw, Clearfield; Mrs. Margaret Douglas, Collingswood, N..lJ., and Mrs. Marie Crosley, Silver Spring, Md., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the J. R. Shulenberger funeral home with the Rev. Frederick Wertz officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.
