Funeral services for Mary Ellen Argyle Stocks were held May 10 in the Bountiful 1st-6th ward chapel with Bishop Dean S. Stahle in charge.

Vocal solo "In the Garden", Thelma Barlow; speaker, Dr G. Evan Taylor; remarks, Bishop Dean S. Stahle; benediction, Coy Hayward. Dedication of the grave in the Bountiful Memorial Park.
Mary Ellen Argyle Stocks, 82, 267 S Main, Bountiful, died May 6 at her home after a long illness. She was born Sept 8, 1882 in Woods Cross, a daughter of Joseph and Ellen Taylor Holroyd Arygle Jr. She married Dr John C. Stocks Mar 23, 1904 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 28, 1951.
She was Davis County Mother of the Year two consecutive years and state runner-up in 1951. She was a president of the Bountiful Art Guild, the Flower club, the Lady Lions club, and the Democratic club.
