Mr. John Allen Reid, 47, of Newnan, died at Emory University Hospital on Jan. 27, 2012. He was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, on Aug. 2, 1964, to Alvin and Martha Reid. He served in the United State Marine Corps over seven years, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and was the Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge #735. He loved drag racing, fishing, and hunting. He was predeceased by his father, Alvin Reid, and brother, Dale Reid. Surviving are his wife, Christy Reid; sons, Christopher Reid and Michael Reid; mother, Dee Reid; sister, DeeAnn Boone and her husband, Dennis; mother-in-law, Patricia Dingler; brothers-in-law, Joey Faver, David Faver, Robbie Faver and his wife, Tyna; nieces and nephews.
