Mrs. Pearl Evans Jaggars, 79, manager of the women's alterations department at the Steinfeld's Department Store died yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mrs. Jaggars, 323 N. Cherry Ave., was stricken Wednesday while she was at work.
Mrs. Jaggars started at Steinfeld's as a seamstress in 1931 and had been employed there since.
She was born in Arkansas, the eldest daughter in a family of 11 children. She and her late husband, Robert C. Jaggars, moved to Tucson in !930.
Mrs. Jaggars was active in the American Business Women's Association and the Catalina Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jane Joyce Woodman of Tucson, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three brothers and five sisters.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Arizona Mortuary, 7 E. University Blvd.
