Levi Giese, son of Henry and Elizabeth Beckenhauer Giese, was born September 3, 1889, in Wayne County, Nebraska, and except for 12 years spent in Wyoming and Missouri, spent his entire life farming northeast of Wayne.

January 19, 1913 at Cody, Wyoming, he married Chloey Ann Round, who preceded him in death in 1940. September 4, 1941 he married Alma Buck.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife and one grandchild.

Survivors include three sons, Alvin Giese, Storm Lake, Iowa, Glenn Giese, Elgin, Illinois, and Wilbur Giese, Wayne, Nebraska; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Della) Agler, Wayne, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a step-daughter, Mrs. August Kallhoff, Tilden, Nebraska; two step-sons, Ivan Buck, Union, Oregon, and Erville Buck, Springfield, Oregon; 14 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Lydia McGuire, Wakefield, Nebraska, Mrs. Lora Erickson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mrs. Fred Arends, Melvin, Illinois, and Mrs. J. Shumway, Hartington, Nebraska.
