Herman Aaker, Fosston, Dies in Minnesota

Herman Aaker, Fosston, Minn. formerly of Hatton, died Tuesday, March 9 at North Memorial Hospital, Minneapolis at age 68. Funeral services were held for Mr. Aaker at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at Bethel Assembly Church, Fosston, Minn., with Rev. Edwin Toews officiating. Carlin Funeral Home had charge of arrangements and interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Fosston.
Herman Aaker was born March 15, 1907 at Hatton to parents, Gustav and Anna Aaker. He attended schools in the Hatton area and married Esther Indergaard of Hatton October 25, 1936. They farmed here until 1954 when they moved to a farm in Rosebud Township south of Fosston. He retired from farming in 1966 and in August 1975 the Herman Aakers moved to Fosston to live.
Surviving are his wife, Esther, a daughter Mrs. Gerald (Elizabeth) Pederson at Kandiyohi; three sons, Richard at Fosston, David at Willmar, Minn., and Herbert at Minneapolis; 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and four brothers: Garvin of Grand Forks, Eric and Marvin at Crookston and Ragnvald at Northwwod.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister and seven brothers. – Hatton Free Press, March 18, 1976
