Kathleen Coiner, loving wife, mother, grandma and dear friend, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.

Kathleen was born in Gustine, Calif., in 1939. She lived in Los Banos and Tracy before the Peasley''s settled in Exeter, Calif.

She was very involved in school activities and met the love of each other''s lives, Jim, in the seventh grade. They were together forever, until Jim passed in 2006. They were both very proud of being from Exeter and Exeter High School.

Kathleen taught in Oxnard, Clovis, Madera, Calif., and Texas. Her longtime teaching position was at Fresno High School for 20 years where she taught Sociology, with mock weddings and egg babies back in the 70s. She still talked about those years. She also worked for 15 years as a Para-educator at FCOE''s Teilman Center. She so loved teaching the students how to embroider. Kathleen''s final time with students was at Pacific Beach High School in San Luis Obispo, where she volunteered every day for three years.

The only days she missed where when she was actually in the hospital. Not being able to return this year was heartbreaking for her. Kathleen got very sick quickly and died in her daughter''s arms at Arroyo Grande hospital.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Linnae; son-in-law, Jerry Hernandez; and grandson, Cavis Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Coiner in October 2006.
