"Alba S. Ainsworth, aged 76, of Gilbertsville, died Saturday, May 6, at Gilbertsville after a long illness. Mr. Ainsworth was born December 17, 1890, in Butternuts, the son of Linn and Margaret (Stenson) Ainsworth. He married Florence Every on May 15, 1952. He worked as a property appraiser for the U. S. government for many years, residing in New York City and Washignton, D. C. In 1939, he moved to Gilbertsville. He was graduated from the Peddie School in Heightstown, N. J. in 1910 and has served as permanent secretary of his class. He was graduated from Cornell University in 1914 and served in the Armed Forces during World War I. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a charter member of the Gilbertsville American Legion. Surviving are his wife, and several cousins including Mrs. Richard Daniel of Norwich, Miss Mary Ainsworth of Norwich, RD, and Mrs. Lewis Backus and Mrs. Claude Padgett of New Berlin ...
