At age 15, Ennis moved with his parents to Kansas, where they homesteaded. Later, he homesteaded on land in Estancia, Torrance, New Mexico.

He married Ellen Rebecca Clay on 6 Apr 1912 in Estancia, Torrance, New Mexico, where he was in the drug business. From 1918-1938, he farmed in Durham, Roger Mills, Oklahoma. In 1951, he & wife Ellen moved to Pampa, Gray, Texas, where he lived until he died.

Their children were Leona Mae and Alvin John Flesher.

He was the son of Wilson Flesher & Loena Moon.

BURIAL LOCATION OF ENNIS FLESHER:

Ennis & wife were living in Pampa, Gray, Texas when he died. Ennis was initially buried in Fairview Cemetery, Pampa, Texas, on 27 May 1958.

His family wanted to bury him in Durham, Roger Mills, Oklahoma, where the family had homesteaded. However, Fairview Cemetery, the local Durham, OK cemetery, was not well developed, which coincidentally was also named Fairview Cemetery. So wife Ellen buried Ennis in Fairview Cemetery, Pampa, Texas.

In late 1960s, the Durham Willing Workers Women's Club of Durham, Roger Mills, Oklahoma, adopted the project to improve their local Fairview Cemetery.

About 1970, wife Ellen moved back to Roger Mills County, OK to live near her children. When she visited the improved & lovely Fairview Cemetery in Durham, OK, she decided to be buried there someday.

So Ellen had her husband Ennis's body moved from the Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Gray, Texas to the Fairview Cemetery in Durham, Roger Mills, Oklahoma. Ellen Flesher passed away in 1981, and is buried next to him at Location C-13.

So Ennis & Ellen are now peacefully resting beside each other in Fairview Cemetery Durham, Roger Mills, Oklahoma.
