Services for John W. Phillips, 81, of 2609 N. Fonshill, are pending with Guardian Funeral Home. He died Tuesday at his home. Phillips was born at Shawnee County, KS. He moved to Oklahoma City from California in 1922. He was a retired Tinker Air Force Base maintenance department inspector and US Navy man with 58 years service. He had been a building contractor prior to employment at Tinker Air Force Base. He was a member of Kelly Avenue Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Helen Frances; a son, George William, Fort Worth; and three sisters, Mrs Mabel King, Elk City; Mrs Rachel Phillips, El Monte, CA; and Mrs Grace Stephens, Grand Junction, Colo.
